Thorsten Bösch is one of the colorful cast of characters behind PechaKucha Nights in Chicago. When not busy designing visualizations for architects and other creatives via visualized concepts, he's focussed on building the most up to date and complete digital model of the entire city of Chicago! We love ya, Thorsten!

Our lovely friends at PechaKucha Night Cairns are celebrating their 20th Volume at the Tanks Arts Centre  in this week's City Focus. With 19 successful PechaKucha Nights under their belt, their 20th will undoubtedly be one you shouldn't miss! The people of Cairns are looking forward to seeing you all at PechaKucha Night Cairns Vol.20



Israeli designer of the Rafsoda Project, artistic director of Jerusalem Design Week, AND organizer of PechaKucha Tel Aviv, Anat Safran captures the PechaKucha People Spotlight this week for just hosting what might be the biggest PechaKucha Night EVER! 10,000 in attendance at Tel Aviv's Vol. 19 at Heichal Ha Tarbut TLV!

This week's PechaKucha City Focus presents the wonderful city of Sapporo as they finally make their long awaited PechaKucha Night debut at the Chobou Gallery [Terrace keikaku] located in the heart of Sapporo! PechaKucha Night Christchurch organizer Erica Austin steps into the "PechaKucha Passionate" spotlight again for being recognized by Architecture Now for all the many hats she wears in her effort make Christchurch a more liveable city. In Clean tech playground: De Ceuvel  at PechaKucha Night Christchurch Vol. 29, Partner of renowned repurposing architects SuperUse StudiosJos de Krieger takes us on a field trip around De Ceuvel, a clean tech playground in Amsterdam. There, innovators reclaimed a disused industrial portside site to create a space for experimentation with technologies for a sustainable future.



For recently hosting their 22nd volume, in the Ukranian capital, PechaKucha Night Kyiv deserves this week's City Focus. A special shout out to the vibrant city's organizer, Timofey Yevgrashyn who smashes it time after time, dedicated to spotlighting Kiyv's hidden heroes by getting their creativity online.
